Speedway Pedestrian Project
The Speedway Pedestrian Project started on Monday, October 26, 2015. This campus project is affecting the parking on Speedway.
The first stage of this project is eliminating the parking spaces between Blanton Museum and Inner Campus Drive.
O Spaces"O" spaces on 21st Street west of Speedway have been relocated to the north curb on 21st Street east of Speedway. See map for new location.
Zip CarsThe Zip Cars in front of Jester and Gregory Gym have all been relocated to north curb 200 E 21st Street in front of Moore-Hill Dorm.
Pay & Display Machines
The Pay and Display Machines in front of Gregory Gym have been relocated to south curb 200 E 21st Street in front of Roberts Hall Dormitory.
Loading zones have been created along 21st Street to accommodate university vehicles and commercial delivery vehicles, and short term unloading/ loading areas.
Bus StopsAll bus stops along 21st between University Ave and San Jacinto will be closed through March 15, 2016. Passenger boarding will be at the next closest stop not impacted by construction. Detailed information regarding routes will be posted at each stop.
There are several places along Speedway that will allow pedestrians to cross back and forth from the either side of the street. These pedestrian areas may shift based on work in the roadway, but access will always available.
