Summer Break Parking & Transportation

Campus Parking

For the upcoming summer break, a University permit will be required to park on campus. If you do not have a University permit, you will need an Intersession Permit, or pay daily garage or meter fees to park on campus.

C Permit and Select Longhorn Lots

C Lots and the Longhorn Lots will continue to require the permit posted or a Summer Break Permit (See below).

A, ADA, F, and M Permit Lots and Spaces

These areas will continue to require the the permit posted.

All normally staffed parking garage offices will continue to be staffed during the entire summer break with regular daily rates or required garage permit applying.

Summer Break Parking Permit

If you do not have a UT permit and you need access to campus while the UT Shuttles are not in operation (see below), there is a Summer Break Permit you can purchase online for $10. To purchase this permit, see Parkmobile and select "Campus Wide Parking" on the venue option.

The intersession permit is valid in the C and Longhorn Lots and in the spaces labeled any UT permit after hours. All other faculty and staff lots and spaces signed (O, F, A, ADA, LZ) will continue to require the permit posted.

Parking Safety Tips

Be a proactive parker! If you leave your car unattended in a remote lot for days at a time, lock your doors. Leaving valuables visible from the outside of your vehicle is an invitation for burglary. Visit or move your vehicle occasionally.

UT Shuttles

Don't be late for finals or work. The UT shuttles will be operating at reduced service levels for finals and summer break from Wednesday, May 17th through Monday, May 29th. MOST SHUTTLE ROUTES DO NOT OPERATE during much of this period. UT Shuttles will resume SUMMER SERVICE levels starting Thursday, June 1st. Please refer to the Shuttle Page for more detailed information.

Capital Metro

Avoid the expense and hassle of airport parking and take the Capital Metro 100 route to the airport! Capital Metro provides daily service from The University of Texas at Austin campus and downtown to Austin-Bergstrom International Airport (ABIA). Buses run approximately every 40 minutes. The online map and schedule are available here. UT students, faculty, and staff ride all Capital Metro mainline buses, fare free with a valid UT ID card.

The last day for the E-Bus for spring 2017 is Saturday, May 13th. E-Bus service will resume for the fall semester 2017.

Don't forget your bike this semester!

Bicycles left at dormitory racks will be considered abandoned onĀ MAY 22 and are subject to impoundment by Parking and Transportation Services.

Due to the amount of bicycles abandoned at the dorm racks each year, we ask that you please take your bike with you, or relocate your bicycle to another rack.
