The university will be hosting Commencement activities that will affect parking and traffic beginning Friday, May 20 through Saturday, May 21.
Colleges and schools will be holding their commencement ceremonies around campus at various times on both days. The university-wide commencement ceremony will be held at Darrell K Royal Texas Memorial Stadium (STD) the evening of Saturday, May 21.
On Saturday, the following streets will be closed from 6 a.m. until 11:59 p.m.
- San Jacinto Blvd. between Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd. and Dean Keeton St.
- Robert Dedman Dr. between 20th St. and Dean Keeton St.
- DeLoss Dodds Wy. between San Jacinto Blvd. and Robert Dedman Dr.
- Clyde Littlefield Dr. between Robert Dedman Dr. and Red River St.
Expect to see both the University of Texas at Austin Police Department (UTPD) and the Austin Police Department staffing entrance points around campus to assist with traffic control.
To facilitate pick-ups and drop-offs at the Gregory Gymnasium (GRE) Commencement ceremonies, 21st St. will be one-way eastbound between University Ave. and San Jacinto Blvd. with UTPD assistance May 20-21.
To help the university community and visitors find parking, the following garages will be open and free to park in from 9 a.m. on May 20 through 11:59 p.m. on May 21.

- Guadalupe Garage (GUG)
- Health Center Garage (HCG)
- Rowling Hall Garage (RHG)
- San Antonio Garage (SAG)
- San Jacinto Garage (SJG)
- Speedway Garage (SWG)
- Trinity Garage (TRG)
- 27th Street (TSG)
