Parking and Transportation Services (PTS) would like to update everyone on some mid-semester parking and transportation information:
Food for Fines
Food for Fines is a program brought to you by PTS in partnership with the UT Outpost. The program provides the opportunity for UT Austin students, faculty, and staff with qualified parking citations to pay them off through donations of 10-ounce cans of soup or larger. All donations will go to the UT Outpost food pantry for students.
Food for Fines begins Monday, March 6 and will run through March 24, 2023. For terms and conditions, eligible donations and citations, and where to donate, see the Food for Fines page.
Bus Service
The UT Shuttles will not operate during Spring Break, March 11-18, 2023. If you need to get to campus when shuttles are not running, many CapMetro routes follow existing UT Shuttle routes and provide access to main and PRC campus. UT Shuttle service will resume on Sunday, March 19, 2023. See the Shuttle Service Level Calendar for more information.
Sure Walk
.Sure Walk operating hours will be changing due to Daylight Saving Time. The spring hours of operation will be 8 p.m. to 2 a.m. This will take effect on March 12. Additionally, Sure Walk will be operating during Spring Break.
If you are on campus late and have concerns about your safety getting home, all students, faculty, and staff can request a Sure Walk. Sure Walk provides walking companions and rides from campus to locations within the service area. To request a Sure Walk, call 512-232-9255 or submit a Sure Walk Request.
UT Night Rides
Lyft is the provider for UT Night Rides. This program provides Lyfts away from main campus to your home 7 days a week from midnight to 4 a.m. and offers free credits to students. All UT Night Rides must originate from main campus only. Service areas are similar to those served by the UT Shuttle system.
