Parking and Transportation Services (PTS) urges caution in navigating the area of the Darrell K Royal Texas Memorial Stadium South End Zone Expansion and Stadium Renovation Project. Beginning on Monday, July 22, 2019 and ending Sunday, July 28, 2019, two tower cranes will be erected as part of the project.
July 22 – 25, 2019:
San Jacinto Boulevard between 20th Street and 21st Street will be closed. All vehicles in this area must be removed by 9 p.m. on Sunday, July 21, or they will be towed at the owner’s expense. This includes F11, A Carpool, and ADA spaces along this street. Capital Metro bus routes along the street will be closed; please visit https://capmetro.org/ for more information. Detours and rerouting will be in place to ease traffic flow.
Campus should expect congestion and heavy traffic along south and northbound San Jacinto Boulevard approaching 20th and 21st streets respectively. Traffic build up should also be expected along Robert Dedman Drive as well as east and westbound on 20th Street and Deloss Dodds Way.
July 25 – 28, 2019:
Robert Dedman Drive between 20th Street and Clyde Littlefield Drive will be closed. Ingress and egress to and from Manor Garage (MAG) will be through the 4th floor. MAG 1st floor entrance and exit will be closed, as well as access to the sidewalk on the east and west curbs of Robert Dedman Drive.
Campus should expect congestion and heavy traffic north and southbound approaching Clyde Littlefield Drive and 20th Street respectively. Traffic build up should also be expected along San Jacinto Boulevard as well as east and westbound on 20th Street, Deloss Dodds Way, and Clyde Littlefield Drive.
