Parking and traffic disruptions beginning Sept 10

The sewer line project from the Main Building to 24th Street will be moving into stage 2 next week.

  • 24th Street between University Avenue and Whitis Avenue will be closed to through traffic until September 10, 2019.
  • Whitis Avenue will remain a one-way street heading southbound onto Inner Campus Drive (ICD).
  • “O” spaces along ICD will remain as back-in angled parking because of the change in traffic flow.
  • Lot F14 will be accessible from University Ave or ICD.

See map below.

Campus should expect congestion and increased traffic along ICD, Whitis Avenue and 24th Street west of the Whitis Avenue intersection. Reduction in available parking near the Main Building is to be expected during this time.

For safety, cyclists, pedestrians and electric scooter users should find alternative routes through 24th Street east and westbound through Tuesday, September 10.

This project is anticipated to be complete by the end of September 2019.

As always, PTS would like to remind you to be courteous and share the road, as well as be aware of your surroundings while in heavy traffic and near construction zones.
