Donations for Citations

Donations for Citations is a program that allows those with qualified parking citations to pay them off through donations of shelf-stable food and unscented baby wipes. All donations will go to the UT Outpost food pantry for students and the Child Development Center for children. The program runs from April 1, 2025 through April 30, 2025. Only citations issued between October 30, 2024 and March 31, 2025 will be eligible for dismissal.

Terms and Conditions

  • Only one eligible citation per person can be dismissed.
  • Eligible citation dismissal is for the original citation amount only. If late fees or collection fees are due, they MUST BE PAID SEPARATELY for PTS to accept the donation for citation dismissal.
  • Citations that are already paid are not eligible for refund to participate in the program.

Eligible Donations

All donations must be unexpired, sealed, and unopened. Glass containers are not eligible for donation. Combinations of baby wipes, macaroni and cheese cups, soup, dry cereal, peanut butter, and nut/seed butter can be used to reach the total number of items required for citation dismissal.

  • Baby Wipes
    • Minimum of 72 count
    • Must be fragrance free
    • A pack over 72-count is still considered ONE item, and the extra wipes cannot be used to count for more items
  • Macaroni and Cheese Cups
    • Must be 4-pack
  • Soup
    • Must be 16-20 ounces (oz.) per can or box
    • Cannot combine multiple smaller cans/boxes of soup to equal 16-20 oz.
    • A can/box that is over 20 oz. is still considered ONE item, and the extra ounces cannot be used to count for more items
  • Dry Cereal
    • Must be 16-20 ounces (oz.) per box or bag
    • Cannot combine multiple smaller boxes/bags of cereal to equal 16-20 oz.
    • A box/bag that is over 20 oz. is still considered ONE item, and the extra ounces cannot be used to count for more items
  • Peanut Butter or Nut/Seed Butter
    • Must be 16 ounces (oz.) per jar
    • Cannot combine multiple smaller jars of peanut or nut/seed butter to equal 16 oz.
    • A jar of peanut or nut/seed butter that is over 16 oz. is still considered ONE item, and the extra ounces cannot be used to count for more items

Quantity for Dismissal of Citation

  • $15-$35 Citations: FOUR items from above eligible list are required for citation dismissal
  • $36-$75 Citations: EIGHT items from above eligible list are required for citation dismissal

Donations are processed at any of eight staffed garage offices around campus. Hours range from weekdays 8 a.m.-5:30 p.m. to 24/7, depending on the garage. See the UT Parking Garages page for details.

Other Donations Welcome

Even if you do not have citations and just want to contribute to the UT Outpost food pantry for students or the Child Development Center for children, you can drop off your non-perishable food donations at any of the eight staffed garage offices around campus. Hours range from weekdays 8 a.m. - 5:30 p.m. to 24/7, depending on the garage. See the UT Parking Garages page for details.
