Campus Traffic and Parking Disruptions (May 1-3)

Each spring, our campus has the privilege of welcoming student-athletes from across the state for the UIL Track & Field State Meet—a celebrated tradition that brings energy, pride, and thousands of visitors to the Forty Acres. This year’s meet will take place Thursday, May 1 through Saturday, May 3 at Mike A. Myers Stadium. As we prepare to host the state’s best, please take note of the following impacts to parking and traffic in the area.

Traffic Disruptions

Expect increased traffic and congestion around the following locations:

  • Lot 37
  • Lot 38
  • Lot 39
  • Lot 40
  • Manor Garage (MAG) – Level 1 exit will be closed May 1–3
  • East Campus Garage (ECG)
  • San Jacinto Garage (SJG)
  • Trinity Garage (TRG)
  • Health Center Garage (HCG) - May 3 only

Street Restrictions

The following streets will have restricted access from 5 a.m. to 11 p.m., May 1–3:

  • Red River St. (Dean Keeton St. to Clyde Littlefield Dr.)
  • Robert Dedman Dr. (Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd. to DeLoss Dodds Wy.)
  • Clyde Littlefield Dr. (Robert Dedman Dr. to Red River St.)
  • DeLoss Dodds Wy. (San Jacinto Blvd. to Robert Dedman Dr.) – Eastbound only

Please note: These restrictions are subject to change at the discretion of safety and traffic control.

Manor Garage Access

From Thursday, May 1 through Saturday, May 3, access to Manor Garage will be adjusted due to street restrictions. Drivers may approach from either direction on Red River St., then:

  • Turn into Lot 37 via the east entrance
  • Continue through Lot 37 to the south entrance
  • Turn right onto Clyde Littlefield Dr.
  • Make an immediate left into Manor Garage


Please follow posted signage and on-site traffic personnel for guidance.
