This Saturday, April 12 will mark the 15th annual Longhorn Run, a campus tradition that has united students, faculty, staff, alumni, and the Austin community since 2010. This year, due to changes in the course route, the impact to parking and traffic will be more significant than in previous years. To help you plan ahead and avoid any disruptions, please be aware of the following parking and traffic restrictions:

Donations for Citations is a program that allows those with qualified parking citations to pay them off through donations of shelf-stable food and unscented baby wipes. All donations will go to the UT Outpost food pantry for students and the Child Development Center for children.

The proposed major service changes for August 2025 include combining UT Shuttle Routes 670 Crossing Place & 671 North Riverside, extending Route 483 Night Owl Riverside to the airport and minor schedule adjustments. If approved by the CapMetro Board, these changes will start on Sunday, August 17 with Route 483 Night Owl Riverside adjustments starting Monday, August 18.

This week, the University will be the center of exciting events, from elite sports competitions to live performances and campus celebrations. From Wednesday, March 26, through Saturday, March 29, due to the high volume of events taking place, please anticipate increased visitor traffic and potential congestion.

The 97th Clyde Littlefield Texas Relays will be held at the Mike A. Myers Track & Soccer Stadium at the University of Texas at Austin March 26 - 29. Please expect extra congestion on campus during this period.

As spring break approaches, many students head home or take a trip, leaving their bikes behind. Unfortunately, bikes are often targeted by thieves when they’re left unattended. Help keep your bike safe by sharing these simple precautions.

On Sunday, March 9th the Sure Walk hours of service will change to 8:00pm - 2:00am, due to Daylight Savings Time.

Texas will host a first-round football playoff game Saturday, December 21. To help you prepare for the game, please review the traffic, parking, and towing restrictions listed below.

The University will host Ball on the Mall on the Main Mall this Monday evening, December 9. Please note that this will result in some street closures in the surrounding area including Inner Campus Dr. and 22nd Street.
