Bicycle Rack Closures Near Engineering

May 24, 2021

At the request of Project Management and Construction Services, two of the four bike racks located just south of the of Engineering Teaching Center II (ETC) on Dean Keeton (underneath the pedestrian bridge) will be taped off and unavailable until further notice due to ongoing construction. 

All bikes must be removed from the designated two bike racks in this area. The unavailable bike racks have been signed and marked. Bicycles left will be considered abandoned at noon on May 27, 2021.

UIL Track & Field Parking Disruptions May 6-8

The university is hosting the University Interscholastic League (UIL) Track & Field State Meet on campus May 6-8, 2021. Expect extra traffic and congestion in and around the following areas: 

  • Manor Garage 
  • Lots 37-40 
  • East Campus Garage 
  • San Jacinto Garage

Spring Permit Renewals For Fall-Only Permit Holders

Fall-Only Permit Holders:

Permit renewals for the spring semester begin October 28, 2020 on My Parking Profile through November 13, 2020. Spring semester permits are valid from January 14, 2021 through May 23, 2021. Please note that fall semester permits expire on November 25, 2020 despite what might be printed on the permit.

Health Center Garage Access to HTB Limited in Evenings

Based on operational changes linked to COVID-19, we have been advised that the exterior doors to the Health Transformation Building (HTB), which is connected to the Health Center Garage (HCG), will be locked between 6 p.m. and 6 a.m. starting next Monday, October 19, 2020. This includes the doors to the elevator lobby on the ground floor.

No elevator access will be available between 6 p.m. and 6 a.m. To re-enter the garage, walk up the sidewalk on the ramp up into the garage.

Free, healthy food at Oct. 10 mobile food pantry

The university is hosting a Central Texas Food Bank (CTFB) Mobile Pantry on Saturday, October 10, 2020, from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. This event is open to any students, staff and faculty who need food or are facing food insecurities.
