Parking and Traffic Disruptions for Monday, July 29

As we near the momentous 60th Anniversary of The Civil Rights Act Commemoration on Monday, July 29, please anticipate heightened traffic congestion and delays in areas near the Lyndon B. Johnson Library (LBJ). To ensure a smoother commute, we encourage everyone traveling to the university to be aware of the traffic and parking impacts listed below.

Parking and Traffic Disruptions for June 25 - July 1

June 24, 2024
In anticipation of the SEC Celebration, please be advised that beginning Tuesday, June 25 through Monday, July 1, there will be an increase in traffic in the area north of the Main Building (MAI) and along Inner Campus Dr., 21st St., University Ave., and Speedway due to production vehicles, vendors, and equipment setup. There will also be street closures on 21st St. and Inner Campus Dr.

Campus Traffic Updates for May 9-11

The University will host the 141st Commencement ceremonies beginning Thursday, May 9 through Saturday, May 11. Colleges and schools will participate in convocation ceremonies that will affect parking and traffic at various times on all three days. The University-wide Commencement ceremony will be held at Darrell K Royal Texas Memorial Stadium the evening of Saturday, May 11. To prepare for these celebratory events, please be aware of the restrictions listed below.

Parking and Traffic Disruptions for May 2-4

The University will host the University Interscholastic League (UIL) Track & Field State Meet, which begins Thursday, May 2 and runs through Saturday, May 4. Please be aware of the following disruptions near Mike A. Myers Track & Soccer Stadium (MMS) for this event.

Lot Closures April 30 at 5 p.m.; towing enforced

April 29, 2024
Lots 12, 14, and 17 are closing beginning April 30 at 5 p.m. Please have your vehicle removed prior to this time to avoid towing.

Activity Updates for April 16-21, Bike to UT Day and Towing Enforcement

Campus will be bustling with activities this weekend with several events that may impact your parking and travels. Towing will be enforced for the Orange-White Game on Saturday, April 20. PTS will also be hosting Bike to UT Day on Tuesday, April 16.

Campus Parking Disruptions April 13; towing to be enforced

April 9, 2024
This Saturday, April 13 will mark the 14th annual Longhorn Run, which will affect parking and traffic as runners complete the 5 and 10k routes across the Forty Acres. Please be aware of the parking restrictions, towing, and street closure surrounding the event.
