The University and Texas Athletics will have a momentous all-day celebration to mark the Longhorns' historic first day in the Southeastern Conference (SEC) on Sunday, June 30. In anticipation of the SEC Celebration, please be advised that beginning Tuesday, June 25 through Monday, July 1, there will be an increase in traffic in the area north of the Main Building (MAI) and along Inner Campus Dr., 21st St., University Ave., and Speedway due to production vehicles, vendors, and equipment setup. To prepare for this event, please be aware of the restrictions listed below.
Street Closures
The listed streets will be closed on the schedule below.
- Saturday, June 29 at 6 p.m. to Sunday, June 30 at 11:59 pm: 21st St. between University Ave. and Speedway
- Sunday, June 30 from 1 p.m. until 11 p.m.: Inner Campus Dr.
- Monday, July 1 from 5 p.m. until 11 p.m.: Inner Campus Dr.
Parking Restrictions and Towing
All vehicles, including motorcycles and University vehicles, must be removed from 21st St., between University Ave. and Speedway, no later than 6:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 29. Any vehicles that have not been removed will be subject to relocation at the vehicle operator’s expense.
