Parking and Traffic Disruptions for Monday, July 29

UPDATE: The 60th Anniversary of The Civil Rights Act Commemoration has been rescheduled to Monday, July 29.

 

On Monday, July 29, the Lyndon B. Johnson (LBJ) Library will host the rescheduled 60th Anniversary of The Civil Rights Act Commemoration. Please anticipate heightened traffic congestion and delays in areas near the LBJ on this momentous day. To ensure a smoother commute, we encourage everyone traveling to the University to be aware of the traffic and parking impacts listed below.

Street Closures

The listed streets will be closed on the schedule below.

  • Robert Dedman Dr., between DeLoss Dodds Wy. and 25th St., will be closed to all traffic Monday, July 29 from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m.
  • Expect rolling street closures around LBJ and the city of Austin throughout Monday, July 29.

Parking Closures

The following locations will be closed to parking on Monday, July 29 from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m.:

  • Lots 37-40 (Lots between LBJ and Red River St.)
  • Robert Dedman Dr. between 25th St. and DeLoss Dodds Wy.

Parking Options

Relocated permit holders may park their vehicles at the locations below.

  • C permits - alternate C and Longhorn Lots not listed above as closed
  • A permits - alternate A and Longhorn Lots not listed above as closed
  • F39 permits - relocation information was sent in a separate email
