Parking Perks Debit Program

Parking Perks program is a low-cost parking alternative for those who need occasional access to one of the university garages. This program offers the opportunity for substantial discounts from the regular daily rate and offers a great benefit for many university employees and commuter students.

Parking Perks are great for alternative transportation users who may on occasion need to bring a vehicle to campus. The program is also perfect for A permit and C permit holders who leave campus for an appointment and then need affordable, convenient, alternative parking upon return. Also, anyone with a need to move across campus during the day may find that the Parking Perks offers a convenient low-cost option for parking.

Eligibility

Anyone who is eligible to purchase an A permit, an S permit, or certain other approved UT affiliates may purchase the Parking Perks. Those with a UTEID can go online to purchase and recharge; UT affiliates who do not have a UTEID will need to visit a staffed garage office.

Purchase and Recharge

Purchases and recharges can be made online via the Parking Perks tab in My Parking Profile or in person at a staffed garage office. The initial purchase is $20 (there are no service fees - this is $20 worth of use in the garages). After the initial purchase, the Parking Perks may be recharged in any increment of whole dollars with a minimum of $10. When recharged, the monies will be applied to the account instantly.

The funds placed on the Parking Perks account are non-refundable.

Do not recharge Parking Perks while in an entrance or exit lane to prevent creating a traffic jam.

Using Your Parking Perks

To obtain the QR code to use at the garages, go to the Parking Perks tab in My Parking Profile. Download the QR code at any time; the QR code has no expiration date. Scan the Parking Perks QR code at the access columns located at the entrances and exits of each garage, even if the gate is open. Out of sync Parking Perks credentials may be subject to a $15 re-synchronization fee. A Parking Perks holder may only park one vehicle in a garage at a time using the Parking Perks QR code.

Balances and last use date are available on the Parking Perks tab in My Parking Profile.

A Parking Perks holder will not pull a ticket to enter, nor will they need to go to the cashier before exiting when utilizing Parking Perks.

Parking is on a space-available basis in each participating garage. If the CARD USE ONLY signs are illuminated or the lot is otherwise noted as full Parking Perks will not work in that location. With the exception of Health Center, Nueces and Rowling Hall, Parking Perks is active in all garages, so if there is a situation where parking is unavailable, simply try another location. Parking is limited, and is not guaranteed in any specific garage, and the vehicle must be removed from the garages by midnight. A vehicle parked after midnight will be subject to additional fees. Parking Perks parking does not entitle one to overnight parking in any garage. Parking and Transportation Services (PTS) reserves the right to limit the use of the Parking Perks for some events.

Replacement

The funds placed on the Parking Perks are non-refundable, and PTS will only recharge a replacement Parking Perks account for any unused amount at the time the original account is reported lost, damaged or stolen. A $10 replacement fee will be charged for any access card that is lost or determined damaged by user negligence. There is no fee to reprint or reclaim a QR code from the Parking Perks tab on My Parking Profile.
